DPD confirms plans to operate zero or low emission-only delivery solutions
· Initiative part of Europe-wide drive by DPDgroup involving 225 cities in 20 countries, impacting 80 million inhabitants,
· Across Europe, 7,000 alternative delivery vehicles will be deployed,
· 89% reduction in carbon emissions and 80% in pollutants in the selected locations.
- 335 sites and service partners are now matrix-certified based on three ISO standards
-There are plans to expand the certification to include occupational health and safety according to ISO 45001 in 2021
-The certification confirms the highest quality, environmental and energy management standards

Funds for van scrappage in London have run out, but Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has today (Monday 28th Sept) launched a new scrappage scheme targeting the most polluting heavy vehicles.
This is in advance of the tighter Low Emission Zone (LEZ) standards, which he can now confirm will come into force on 1 March 2021.
