We'll be travelling the length of the UK in our all-electric delivery vehicles, testing their reliability and durability as we go. 1200+ e-miles, from John O'Groats to Land’s End. Olly Craughn and the DPD team from click to knock began at the start line of the GREAT BRITISH EV RALLY [GBEVR] at the stunning Royal Household, the Castle & Gardens of Mey. The DPD team finished day one in style with team Harris Maxus plus their customer DPD UK - a great team effort from John Corbet, Mathew Kiziuk, Phil Harvey and supporting Christopher Hobson. And the new Maxus dealers TM Phillip and Current Commercials. A day not without its moments but great to finish up being hosted by the brilliant and trail blazing Dundee City Council and Frazer Crighton great chat.
Day two - Checkpoint 3 at the Wallyford Park & Choose EV Hub, run by East Lothian Council. ‘Once we leave, it’s England-bound!’ Checkpoint at the Windermere Jetty Museum, Lake Windermere. Newcastle photo at the angel of the North,. Charging up for run by Gateshead Council, we couldn’t pass through without stopping!
Parked up at Leeds for Day 2 endpoint, Amazing facilities at the Leeds City Council charging facility, with West Yorkshire Combined authority and First West Yorkshire.
Day three for race track fun. Arrive at the only checkpoint on day 3 – Rockingham. Thanks to our friends at British Car Auctions and Cinch, ‘We’re in for a few hours of EV fun! And some race track time.’ The endpoint of day 3, Milton Keynes. A quick pit-stop BP Pulse , then across to a hub for an overnight recharge!
Day four - Arrive at Checkpoint 6, on Day 4, Gridserve Sustainable Energy ltd, HQ, Braintree. We’re hoping to get a tour of this amazing facility! Made it to the endpoint of day 4. Met by host authority West of England Authority.
