DPD has welcomed Britain's first Zero Emission Zone (ZEZ) pilot, launched in Oxford, saying it will bring long term benefits to the city, it's residents and the wider environment.

DPD was present at the launch with local driver Mohammed Bilal Khan, and his zero-emission MAXUS e DELIVER 9 electric van, one of over 40 EVs based at the firm's Bicester eco-depot, which serves the city.

In total, DPD now has over 1,700 EVs on the road in the UK.

IOC fellow, Sue Bancroft, HR Director at Tuffnells is set to sign the first candidate.

DPD customers will be able to add a what3words address to their details in the DPD app.

Drivers will know the precise 3-metre square indicated by the customer - that may be an entrance, doorstep or side passage.

New partnership hopes to improve the delivery experience for both drivers and parcel customers.
