Voice of the employer delivers latest draft duty list for our operatives at door

The IOC education group has never been so busy. As the Inst of Apprenticeships readies to merge into Skills England, Andy Proud at IFA called for a review of the Express delivery operative level 2 apprenticeships standard. Almost three thousand starts so far and published in 2019, todays apprenticeship is missing a formal headline duty list. Express employers rallied behind the cause with numerous round table and one to one discussions from Royal Mail, to DPD, Evri and FedEx. As the duty list evolved to Version 5, it went before the Sept heads of industry, over forty fellows from nationals, regionals and SMEs from London to Liverpool elected an importance ranking list to the individual duties, range from clean air operations, to on time every time and ambassador duty behaviour at door. With edit support from IFA the duty list is down to 16 headlines and has been edited ready to go in front of the education meeting Oct 8th as V5.2 and a clean copy V5.5. It is rich in employer voice and Express sector content, duty of brand, duty of delivery, duty of getting first time every time.

The IOC education group doubles as the Govts Trailblazer group, chaired by Louise O'Neil from Whistl, a co-chair to share the workload has been elected.
