BIS apprenticeship trailblazer framework workshop at Victoria street Sept 16 2015 created the platfrom for the framework draft.
IOC Chair Carl Lomas, ‘From the Sept BIS framework workshop I feel more confident about the Courier trailblazer. We have a heads of industry group on the afternoon of Oct 27 when key industry figures will look to sign off the new content with our employer chairman Justin Moore (Citysprint). The revised standard will provide candidate stretch beyond the courier role to team leader, master courier. A summary for the framework of assessment is in draft and looking strong at Level two it can be found alongside the standard at www.couriertrailblazer.com . This framework draft is being evolved into the newly issued BIS template.’ Institute of Couriers are seeking registration to BIS to become the professional body for assessment and have been working both with Pearson and City & Guilds for some time on assessment process.
The 2015 Sept BIS framework assessment workshop- ‘There was clarity and detail on the relationships expected between the candidate, employer, training provider and professional body, detail on the assessment steps from start through to end point assessment, a great workshop with productive focus to achieve outcomes, I feel confident the way forward for courier trailblazer at Level two is clearer after today’s workshop.’
