Helen Smith TfGM comments,

Greater Manchester is committed to delivering a vision to ensure our city region has a world-class transport network that supports long-term, sustainable economic growth and access to opportunities for all. On behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is currently developing the Greater Manchester Transport Strategy 2040. This strategy will be supported by a number of sub-strategies which are at various stages of development. These include the Greater Manchester Freight and Logistics Strategy.

The Greater Manchester Freight and Logistics Strategy is aligned with and aims to support the delivery of the Northern Freight Strategy.  It sets out a package of proposals which aim to encourage and support economic growth within our city region, whilst also protecting the environment and minimising externalities. The attached* draft strategy document has been developed over the last eight months through a series of individual, group and workshop sessions with public and private sector representatives. I would like to invite you to review the document and submit any feedback you may have by Friday 24th June.

I would be grateful if you could provide your comments via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject heading F&L Strategy feedback.
