Our next generation final mile express logisticians stand tall with livery and academia.

Levy funded apprenticeship, on the job learning is strong in Express logistics, free of charge to the candidate learning on the job. An exceptional array of our next generation was at the House of Lords to stand tall with the top brass for recognition of apprenticeship learning, knowledge delivered from 'first time every time' KPIs to compliance, geography and management behaviours.

Fellows had hands in the air to applaud a powerful photo memory of the learners progressing their knowledge skills and behaviours for the future talent of our sector. From transport engineering at Royal Mail to Express management at EVRi and FedEx, all in the mix with traditional livery and guild learning from the Carmen Apprentice Isaac Sainthouse.

A-level Carmen transport apprentice Isaac took centre of photo flanked by Royal Mail engineering Katie Potten. Express Manager degree students and London challenge winners, Vicki James EVRi and Lee Rathbone FedEx proudly stood left of the VC Peter John CBE.

Supporting our final mile sector, the VIP congratulations were heavyweight top brass; the Carmen livery Warden Vince Dignam, Marta Gajewska Principal of FE logistics college, West Thames, Vice Chancellor of University West London Peter John CBE, the livery Master Educator David Wootten and the Fuellers livery warden Louise Thomspon.

IOC CEO Dr Tracey Worth comments, ‘The strong livery input showcased the old-school traditional guild's time-in-trade learning alongside the academics delivering formality of modern on-the-job education that is forming our next generation. This learning is levy paid and free of charge to the candidates.’

Master Educator David Wootton CBE commented ‘We desire to promote education at the heart of business, express logistics should have access to enhanced quality of learning and teaching, and we support all those apprentices in Express Delivery who commit to the advancement of professional education. Congratulations on your future success’.

Carmen livery Warden Vince Dignam, transport head at Corporation of London comments, ‘Next generation is key to our sector, big congratulations to the learners driving out on the road to a career stairway in transport, well done 2026 apprentices’

Top level opportunity for Express Logistics, Express Logistics management degree is going to Oxford.

Vice Chancellor Peter John CBE announced the step at the House of Lords IOC gowning event to an audience who applauded the future of our next generation. The VC, ‘Our next generation express managers will get the Oxford experience’

The very first L6 degree apprentice candidates graduate this year, they have paved the way, a formal academic text book has reinforced the learning journey. No student fees, the course is paid for by apprentice levy and remains free of charge to the students. Three-year course delivered while on the job with flexible virtual learning. A special workshop day each month on campus, the Oxford reputation adding to the robust journey that has seen every candidate so far step up in their role positions in our workplace.

Candidates have come from national brands and regionals from across the UK. Access to the degree sits not in exam results, the key joining criteria are track record and experience in the workplace. The entry level is supervisors in our sector who are heading for management. The age is 'open to all'.

The first starts at Ruskin College Oxford begin mid-April, it's an experience and opportunity not be missed.
