Fellows at table spoke consistency and most predictable Peak Q4

The countdown is on - Express delivery 2026 Q1 Peak One

Valentine's Peak One is a Saturday

With a lens on the Saturday impact of peaks, Fellows at the January IOC Heads of Industry round table were asked for their Peak experience for Q4, Black Friday to Christmas landing mid-week. The mid-week slots delivered answers of number to door KSIs as the most predictable peak ever.

Q4 was more predictable than ever before – Mid-week delivered softer than weekend. Best Peak in years – resources planned and matched performance - excellent – outstanding – BtoB variation from BtoC - At-door feedback good. There was no doubt peak Christmas and New Year dates falling mid-week implicated density of e-retail. Peak One 2026 set for a Saturday, Valentine's Day delivery to door, flowers moved on to chocolates, gifts and food for a special dinner with meal delivery evolving to big numbers for the romantic day. Set for a Saturday, forecast for delivery numbers across all of the streams look very strong. Many view Valentine's peak delivery as pre-run for Mother's Day which is judged peak two of the year.
