Call for Diversity in Logistics workforce

Call for transport leaders to help 'super-charge' skills and build diverse future workforce.

Consultation launched to better understand the skills needed to boost diversity, plug the skills gap and promote careers in the transport sector.

Dr Tracey Worth, CEO IOC launched the Year of Diversity Transport / Logistics / Freight (2019) which saw success in the promotion of inclusivity, diversity and improvement of skills leading to employment within the transport industry, and in particular the Express Delivery, Last Mile sector.

HM Government has again put out a call to boost diversity, skills and careers in the transport sector.

Swift Despatch Liverpool invests in electric fleet

Swift Despatch, part of The APC delivery network has launched the first four electric vans in its fleet.

The launch of these electric vehicles (EVs) is part of the business’ ongoing commitment to invest in the growth of its zero-emissions fleet, supporting longer-term Government initiatives to improve air quality across Merseyside and Cheshire, and help the city of Liverpool achieve its target of carbon neutrality by 2030.
