London should be allowed to keep £500m Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) raised each year in the city in a proposal announced today (Friday 11 Dec 2020) by the London Mayor.

'If government refuses to let London keep VED, other ways of raising this money will be needed after Covid-19 decimated TfL fares income.'
