IOC fellow, Zoe Walsh, Sales and Customer Relations Director,

Allow me an emosh wallow for a minute.’ ‘2024 marks 57 YEARS of trading for GLH. I'm not aware of an independent, family-run car and courier operator in London that has been going for as long as us. But I'm certainly aware of a lot that have been forced to stop trading in recent years due to the challenges we face as an industry. So how have we - an independent family firm from humble North London mini-cab office beginnings - kept going for so long and enjoyed so much success? The answer is in our tagline - because we show absolute care and that has never changed no matter the challenges. Through recessions, through new and global competition, through dizzying policy-changes, through Brexit, through lockdowns, through climate emergency, through cost-of-living-crises - our teams not only keep going but nothing is too much trouble for them and every customer is valued for who they are. Whether we are scrutinising individual journeys to save more carbon emissions for our corporate clients or risking our own health to deliver life-saving equipment at the height of Covid - we do it with care and pride because that's who we were in 1967 and that's who we are today on our 57th birthday. A massive thank you and a very happy birthday to my GLH family.
