Inst of Couriers has circulated the latest Crime Stopper briefing pack to the security group heads for distribution across the express logistics sector.

 

 

Keeping communities safer together. Ministry of Justice statistics show convictions for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of drink or drugs overall increased from 41,457 in 2014 to 58,117 in 2022 – a rise of 40%.

People who drink and or take drugs (whether illicit or prescription drugs taken without heeding the cautions in the guidelines) and drive, place themselves, their loved ones, other road users and pedestrians at grave, avoidable risk.

CrimeStoppers have launched a national campaign to encourage everyone to:

- learn how to spot the signs of someone about to drink and/or drug drive

- understand the impact that drink and/or drug driving has on lives, including the drivers’, passengers, other vehicles, and pedestrians

- speak up anonymously to CrimeStoppers, as a national charity, independent of the police
