Managing Director Alan Savage, a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Couriers, launched his business in 1982, after working for a number of courier companies in central London.
MK London Link provides same-day, next-day and international delivery services to clients located throughout the UK, many of them ‘blue chip’ companies, and prides itself on its fast and friendly service.
Most of the 30-plus vehicles that wear its livery belong to owner-drivers who work as sub-contractors. The latest additions to the line-up, however, are run by the company itself and driven by its own employees.
Three are Long-bodied Citan 109 CDI models; the fuel-efficient Citan is the smallest van ever to wear a three-pointed star. MK London Link’s first vehicles from this ground-breaking range are now hard at work 10 hours a day, collecting next-day and international consignments within a 20-mile radius of base.
Having previously relied on another make of vehicle at this size, we ordered the Citans after Dawsonrentals | vans predicted they’d consume less fuel,
recalled Alan Savage.
I’m happy to confirm that these smart little vans are living up to that promise. As anyone who’s been to Milton Keynes will know, the city has a great many roundabouts so it’s demanding work, yet the Citans are proving very economical.
