The 2023 IOC structure chart.

Sector chairs reshuffle - New IOC Road Safety and Wellbeing group

President IOC remains Viscount Lord Falkland, three vice presidents, all former transport ministers, Stephen Norris, David Jamieson and Sir John Hayes remain. Chairman, Carl Lomas MBE and CEO Dr Tracey Worth.

The IOC sub-groups

IOC sector chairs head the subgroups, each reporting to Heads of Industry quarterly roundtable events. Whilst Heads of Industry is 'in person at table', the subgroups meet virtually, the 2023 dates in the diary are below. Fellows can nominate a name of the team to attend individual groups with an email to IOC CEO Dr Tracey Worth.

A new subgroup for Safety in 2023. For 2013 there will be a new subgroup focused on Safety, both Road safety, HSE and Wellbeing, it is to be chaired by Road Safety expert Chris Floyd from Evri. He welcomes names to join the group.

Sue Bancroft, HR director at Tuffnells takes on the role of chair of the Trailblazer education group.

Justin Moore, Onit logistics, moves to become joint chair of the Owner Operator group with Richard England.

Andy Magromallis, Huboo remains chair of security group.

Graham Thomas Ocado stays chair of alternative vehicles and clean air.

Prof Ming Lim stays as head of Asia.

Alistair Cochrane remains chair of National Courier Awards panel of judges to be hosted at Drapers Hall City of London Oct 17th.

 

For 2023, IOC welcome new external directors to the board of the Institute -

Melanie Stancliffe Cripps & Co expert employment lawyer,

Carolyn Dwyer former director City of London Corporation,

Callum MacPherson, Investec fuel derivatives expert,

William Jenkins formerly Schroders.

 

Set your diary for the 2023 dates for the Institute of Couriers

Set your diary for 2023, the two must-attend big dates for the IOC in 2023 are New Fellows' Gowning evening 3rd March at House of Lords. Then the National Courier Awards Oct 17th at the new venue for 2023, Drapers Hall in the City of London. New for 2023. There are four quarterly Heads of Industry at-table events and a variety of sub-groups held virtually with first of the year dates already released to fellows. For sub-groups, senior fellows can nominate a name for attendance on their behalf. For 2023, Chris Floyd will be forming a new sub-group for Road Safety and Wellbeing.

 

IOC Heads of Industry - Quarterly Roundtables

The Quarterly roundtables move from the IoD in 2023 to be held at the Transport livery offices on the Strand, they will be hosted in person and at table at The Carmen Hall, Fleet Street, London EC4.
