The first traffic lights arrived 151 years ago today. Transport in London has been evolving to meet growth. People remain the most important factor in the City of London.

 

Talking CrossRail...

delays and the Victoria line, we must learn lessons for the future, today we have a strong board to go forward...The Elizabeth line capacity will carry more people than the entire Berlin Metro.

 

Safety...

Our ambition for safety is Vision Zero...We must tackle air quality for the future, clean air date is April 8th for ULEZ. Here in the City of London I am delighted to see the Corporation leading the way...

 

Diversity...

there are still far too few women in transport and we must show them career paths the sector has to offer.
