Fresh Logistics Services Ltd, a temperature controlled logistics solutions provider, had their new home The East Midlands Logistics Centre opened on Friday 24th July by The Secretary of State for Transport, Patrick McLoughlin MP Sec of State for Transport.
One of the most architecturally significant buildings in the East Midlands designed for Olivetti back in the 1970’s, the newly formed East Midlands Logistics Centre (EMLC.space) was the idea of Fresh Logistics Managing Director, Alan White. Patrick McLoughlin described the project as a ‘Derby success story'. Starting Fresh Logistics in the middle of the recession and growing substantially year on year, to now moving to and creating the East Midlands Logistics Centre is a fantastic and recognizable achievement’.
Amanda Solloway MP stated ‘I was delighted to be invited to the opening of Fresh Logistics new depot in Derby. Not only was it great to be a part of this success story but you could sense the enthusiasm that team had for the project and the positive atmosphere that was generated throughout. I found the building particularly inspiring and sensitively restored maintaining much of its heritage. I was particularly impressed that meetings rooms were named after members of the team- how cool is that’.
