Royal Mail has launched a parcel pick-up service across the UK in a shake-up of the daily round.

Royal Mail say this is one of the biggest changes to their service since the launch of postboxes in 1852.

People using a hand-held mobile phone in all circumstances while driving will be breaking the law, under new government plans unveiled by Roads Minister Baroness Vere yesterday, Saturday (17 October 2020) to close a legislation loophole and improve road safety.

It’s already a criminal offence to use a hand-held mobile phone to call or text while driving, but not for other actions such as taking photos.

3,000 additional shops takes DPD Pickup network to over 6,000 outlets

DPD has confirmed that over 3,000 Collect+ parcel shops are to be added to the DPD Pickup network, as part of a deal with PayPoint, the owner of Collect+.

The new deal will expand the DPD Pickup network to over 6,000 stores nationwide, with 3,000 Collect+ outlets being added. As a result, 97% of the UK population will now be within five miles of a DPD Pickup store.
