The British Transport Police Authority (BTPA) this week announced that Lucy D’Orsi has been appointed as Chief Constable of the British Transport Police (BTP).
She will take up her appointment early in the New Year. Lucy is currently the Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) for Specialist Operations.

'If government refuses to let London keep VED, other ways of raising this money will be needed after Covid-19 decimated TfL fares income.'

There has been an increase in crimes against couriers.
The IOC, in partnership with the National Business Crime Centre, has produced a poster explaining the risks and best-practice responses to help keep the Express driver safe.
Chief Inspector Patrick Holdaway explains, "Police forces, particularly in the North West, are seeing an increase in crimes against couriers..."

Royal Mail are introducing a weekend extension for over 15,000 existing priority postboxes from 21 November to help speed up testing.
Collections will now be made from these priority postboxes on a Sunday.
