Institute of Couriers IOC are at the IntraLogisteX show on stand 201. Focused on asking the logistician how do they shop on-line? Show visitors to the Ricoh Arena March 16th and 17th will be given a free Curly Wurly if they answer how they shop on-line, when they shop and how they value speed of delivery against cost. The data will be crunched by both Manchester Metropolitan University, Derby University & Sheffield Hallam. Do logisticians use e-retail differently to the high street purchaser?
Can’t be there ?, you can still do the questions here. Take our survey, we need your data.
IoC Chair Carl Lomas at IntraLogisteX with Professor Tracey Worth - stand 201 - await your answers - 'How do logisticians shop on line ?'
Prof Liz Barnes, deputy VC Sheffield Hallam University
It is great to see collaboration between Universities and Industry informing our practice of the future. We look forward to supporting the Institute of Couriers in their understanding of how logisticians shop on-line and identify differences to the high street purchaser.
Prof Tony Hines MMU,
This is a great initiative from the IOC trying to understand how logistics professionals match their service offer with the value online shoppers place upon time through speed of delivery. This has implications for both cost of delivery and value to the customer with the aim to balance trade-off’s. Looking forward to supporting this research initiative by the Institute of Couriers.
