A big last week of November week for the Internal Communications team at Royal Mail, as we launched 'Robin' - our new employee app.
RM explain,
Robin is both our name for the platform and the character that will be a helper in getting people to it and then using it, named due to an association with posties in the Victorian times. The platform has been provided by Workvivo and is in some part a replacement for Workplace by Meta - which is shutting down - but for us will go a whole lot further as a tool. We're bringing in our HR tools and services, inclusive of our popular People App, which has payslips and annual leave information within. This is to be a true one-stop-shop for employees covering news, information, documents, HR requirements, social spaces, surveys and recognition. I'm pleased that 13,000 logged on within two days of our first communications going out about Robin. This is just the start of a journey to making it truly a front door to everything anyone needs at Royal Mail and I'm very excited to be helping to lead this project for the business. A thanks to Gary Moss at Gallagher for our first introduction to James Munro at Workvivo some two years ago. Through blood, sweat and tears, we've made it to launch with so much hard work by lots of people at Royal Mail to realise this ambition of consolidating our channels. A thanks also to AB - The Communications Specialists for some inspired creative thinking, led by Katie Macaulay in bringing Robin to life. I've full belief this is going to be a game changer for us as a comms team but more importantly for our people.
