Andy Pumfrey, Yamaha EV NEOS dedicated to courier

Yamaha were at the IOC round table to talk zero emission scooter bikes for final mile deliveries.

A new version of the NEOS as a dedicated courier scooter. Its about to arrive. A larger version with more speed and range is already on trial in Paris.

International two wheel brand Yamaha at the Inst of Couriers table to introduce an electric scooter for final mile, an evolution of the NEOS and it will have one hundred litre carry capacity volume.

Andy Pumfrey at Yamaha, ‘We predict a million EV`s on the road by end of next year, narrow roads, pedestrian zones, harder to park, our mission is to bring a dedicated courier EV scooter to final mile.’ The N Max 125 was our petrol answer. The NEOS is our first E Scooter launched at the NEC last November. Taking on the IOC call for final mile. We have been looking at a new courier scooter. Target of one hundred litres volume. It will have 40kg carrying on the rear and a front carrying opportunity. The first one ever is arriving next week. Looking even more into the future. We are trialling the E01 with 300 proof of concept units in Paris with our partner Troopy . This is a larger machine, and you can use an app to turn on and open the top box to gain access to helmets . it has a 56mph top speed with a 63 mile range seen and is the natural replacement to our 125 N-MAX scooter. Yamaha also have three new electric E bikes and later this year a scooter moped style bike, 25 and 40km version. Quirky, we have the Yamaha TriTown scooter coming, a personal transport vehicle, very difficult to fall off! Watch this space as the Yamaha NEOS is about to arrive as an EV scooter for final mile.
