Stuart Godman explains,
While our fleet of cargo bikes do a great job of delivering the final mile leg across the central London ULEZ zone, there are obvious limits to both their range and capacity. The new e DELIVER 3 van will operate out of our London Eco-Hub bringing in large loads for redistribution over the final mile by the cargo bikes and making those longer distance larger load deliveries across the extended ULEZ zone.
The MAXUS e DELIVER 3 is designed from the ground up as an electric delivery van, using a combination of lightweight materials such as aluminium and polymer composite materials. It comes fitted with all the expected safety features – automatic on/off Headlights, driver and passenger airbags, seatbelt lock reminders, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), immobiliser and rear parking sensors.
The cargo bay has a total volume capacity of 4.8m3 with a maximum door opening width of 710 mm and a maximum payload of 945 kg. Offering medium load carrying ability while providing a nifty, agile, zero-emissions delivery vehicle in which to negotiate London streets.
