DPD Group tops MoneySavingExpert's customer satisfaction poll for eighth year running.

DPD has been voted the best in the business for the eighth year running, in MoneySavingExpert.com's customer satisfaction survey.

Dwain McDonald, DPD's CEO commented,

It has been an unprecedented 12 months for everyone, and our industry has been one of those right in the spotlight, trying to help keep businesses going and keep families safe at home. So, I think everyone in the logistics sector deserves a massive pat on the back. I'm incredibly proud of our own drivers and the whole team for what they have achieved during this period. To top this poll for an eighth time in a row and improve our scores, with around 40 to 50% more parcels in the network every single day, takes some doing.

Over 11,000 people took part in the poll on Martin Lewis' site to find the best (and worst) parcel delivery firms. Conducted just after the Christmas peak, the poll asked people to rate the performance of all the major UK delivery firms, based on their own experiences with each company over the past year. MoneySavingExpert rank firms from best to worst based on the percentage of 'great' and 'OK' votes they get (awarding two points per 'great' percentage point and one point per 'OK' percentage point).

DPD Local finished the overall winner with 70.7% of voters rating their service as 'great', with DPD next on 67.9%. Both firms improved on their 2020 results.

Amazon Logistics finished third with a great score of 60.5%. ‘Great' scores for the other major carriers included 48.6% for Royal Mail and 42.5% for DHL, followed by Fed Ex, UPS and Parcelforce on 40.5%, 42.5% and 40.5% ‘great', respectively.

DPD's success over the past decade has been largely down to its unique one-hour delivery slot service, Predict. Predict means that all DPD customers receive an email or text notification of their one-hour delivery slot in advance, along with a series of ‘in-flight options' so they can always make arrangements for their delivery, even if they aren't going to be at home. Increasingly, DPD customers now use the Your DPD app, which has had over 8 million downloads. The app enables users to personalise their delivery preferences and gives them total control over each parcel.
