The team are definitely starting to see a steady increase in job numbers from our corporate clients. Covid-19 has massively impacted our core client base, however with the roads starting to get busier in the west end, I am confident we will start seeing more of an uptick in the coming weeks. Our analysis is certainly demonstrating the start of an upward trend.

Many of our clients have started to reach out to discuss their plans to start moving equipment back to offices in central London. This was even more evident at the end of this week when one of our large legal clients wanted to discuss how Absolutely will support them with their upcoming move back into the square mile.

The City Corporation transport response will focus on achieving two main objectives’;

· Residents, workers and visitors are safe and feel comfortable travelling into and within the Square Mile, particularly when travelling on foot, by bike and on public transport.

· City businesses are supported in their Covid-19 recovery and the City remains an attractive location for business.

There will be on street changes and measures to allow additional space for people walking and cycling. With signage and barriers to allow easy adaptation . This will in turn encourage travel by foot, cycle and public transport. There will be many road closures and one way systems and this will be operating 24/7 07:00 – 19:00.

Absolutely have appeased many of our clients concerns and we will be encouraging customers to utilise our extensive Pushbike and Cargo bike fleet within the square mile during these times. Our cargo bike can carry up to 8 archive boxes so we are confident that we can find a solution to move larger items for customers. There will be, naturally, items that cant be moved on 2 wheels, however we are finding more and more of our clients are becoming extremely flexible and are understanding of the challenges that face courier companies. A shift in collection and delivery times outside business hours may be required, and as a 24/7 business we can more than support this requirement.
