Back on my street, Mr Ocado arrived at 10.30pm with my grocery shopping (other supermarkets are available!). What a relief – it really makes you appreciate some of the things we are so used to taking for granted. On board were some items that my elderly neighbours in their 80s had asked us to get for them – they told us at the weekend that it as a choice between either “going out to the shop and potentially catching ‘it’ or starving”. How sad that they were so genuinely worried and, as they don’t have the internet, they can’t shop online either. We’re therefore doing our bit to help them and it feels good.
