Jesse Norman moves up from Parliamentary Under Secretary of State to Minister of State for department of Transport.

Jesse Norman, MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire, a former Barclays director, graduate of Oxford University and post-graduate of UCL was promoted Monday of this week (Nov 12) to transport minister after last week's resignation of Jo Johnson in regard to Brexit.

Jesse Norman was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Department for Transport from June 2017 to 9 November 2018. He joined the DfT following the General Election in June 2017, to take over a portfolio which included road safety and cycling and walking policy. January 2018, he took responsibility for electric and autonomous vehicles, as well as Highways England.

Andrew Jones, a former freight Minister has re-joined the Department as the new Rail Minister.
