APC member, Trans UK Logistics increases its parcel premises by over 65% to support continued surge in online shopping across London

The London based delivery firm has invested in a new 28,000 sq. ft. site following significant growth for the business and its customers in the last year.

The expansion allows Trans UK Logistics to better serve local SME customers at a time where high demand for delivery services continues.

Hermes UK is adding a further 70 units to its fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuelled vehicles in a move to further reduce emissions.

This brings the total to 160 – around 50% of the company’s core hub tractor fleet.

Driven by its commitment to reducing climate impact and air pollution across the UK’s cities, Hermes’ use of alternative fuels makes it the largest UK parcel company fleet to employ CNG vehicles, bettered only by retailer John Lewis and Partners.

TfL have asked IOC fellows and members for their views on proposed changes to the Congestion Charge.

The new proposals are part of the commitment by the Mayor of London and TfL to reduce traffic and congestion in central London.

Van drivers who are resident in the zone will get 90% reduction, hours changed will benefit shift workers and leave sortation teams free to get to depot. What are your views?

 

All deliveries in the city will be made by electric vehicles from 27th July.

New Bicester eco-depot will have fleet of 40 electric vehicles to serve city.

Midlands 28-82 Logistics, formed in 2020 by Nick Ledingham, has grown rapidly and now operates 42 delivery vehicles during peak.

Government announces package of measures to support road haulage industry 20th July

Measures introduced to support recruitment and retention within the road haulage industry to ease pressure on the sector.
