Evri starts trial with Vinted to offer free reusable packaging at selected Evri ParcelShops.

Evri, has this week announced a collaboration with Vinted, Europe’s leading second-hand fashion marketplace, which will see the carrier become the first in the UK to offer customers free reusable packaging in a number of dedicated Evri ParcelShop locations across the UK.

Vinted’s delivery arm Vinted Go recently signed a four-year extended contract with the Yorkshire-based delivery company to make it even easier for Vinted members in the UK to be able to ship their items.

Beginning as an initial eight-week trial, the packaging will be available in over 100 ParcelShops* across the UK – growing to almost 300 throughout the trial - and is aimed at providing customers with not only a quick and free packaging solution at the point of drop-off, but also a reusable alternative by which to ship their parcels.

The reusable packaging, which will be stocked by Evri, is designed to fit a medium sized Vinted parcel* and has been created with two adhesive strips, allowing both Vinted buyers and sellers to benefit from its use. This supports Vinted’s mission to make second-hand the first choice.

The trial is part of a wider expansion of the partnership between Evri and Vinted Go, with both businesses experiencing a period of significant volume growth in recent times, largely in part due to a growing trend for pre-loved shopping.

And following Evri’s recent announcement of a significant investment in its ParcelShop and locker network, with plans to double its size to 25,000 locations by 2030, it’s hoped that the packaging could be rolled out across more of the delivery company’s ParcelShops if it proves to be a success.

Claire Phelan, Head of Ecommerce Partnerships at Evri, said: “We’re thrilled to be the first UK delivery carrier to be able to support Vinted’s trial of reusable packaging. By stocking this at almost 300 of our Evri ParcelShops, it provides their army of sellers with an efficient and reusable solution by which to send their parcels. And, as we forecast issuing over 100K units of Vinted’s reusable packaging during the trial, its multi-use feature is fantastic, also giving buyers the opportunity to re-purpose.”

Vytautas Atkočaitis, Vice President of Vinted Go said, “At Vinted we are committed to doing all we can to make it even easier for our members to shop second-hand. By collaborating with selected carrier partners including Evri, to provide free and reusable packaging we hope to encourage our members to opt for packaging that is suitable for repeat use and fits the size of their items better”.

Evri is on track to become the UK’s premier parcel delivery company for businesses and consumers alike. Following the expected completion of its proposed merger with DHL eCommerce UK by the end of 2025 (subject to customary regulatory clearances), the combined Evri business will deliver more than 1 billion parcels and a further 1 billion business letters annually. The company – which currently delivers around 900 million parcels a year – has a mission to be the most convenient way to send, receive and return parcels, without costing the earth. Working with Europe’s top retailers, marketplaces and pre-loved sites, the roots of Evri can be traced back to Yorkshire in 1974. The business has grown over the decades and now has a team of 8,000+ employees and 28,000 couriers, as well as a growing network of ParcelShops and Lockers and state-of-the-art hubs and depots. Following its acquisition of Coll-8 in May 2025, an Irish independent customs clearance and logistics specialists, Evri continues to enhance its international capability. Delivering c. 99% of parcels on time, Evri has more than 3 million independent 5-star Trustpilot reviews, an average courier rating of 4.7/5, and a strong commitment to customer experience.
