August figures at the port of Heathrow rose 13% to 139,000 tonnes. East Midlands similarly rose by 11%. Volumes for 2017 so far at Heathrow have recorded 10.% rise for the first eight months of the year to just over 1m tonnes. The second express UK hot spot for logistics, East Midlands airport, grew by 11% to 29,000 tonnes.
