‘Exciting development is the introduction of Agentic AI’

Diamond Logistics has announced the next phase of Despatchlab, its logistics management platform which brings together fulfilment, multi-carrier shipping and warehouse management into a single system. The latest update introduces intelligent dashboards and new Agentic AI capabilities designed to help businesses gain greater insight from their logistics and fulfilment data and make more informed decisions. Recognising that every business has different priorities, Despatchlab’s new customisable dashboards allow users to build a personalised view of the data that matters most to them. From stock levels and order volumes to delivery performance and customer activity, users can now access key metrics quickly and easily, creating a workspace tailored to their business and way of working.

The platform’s flexible design also means new capabilities can be introduced as customer requirements evolve. Perhaps the most exciting development is the introduction of Agentic AI. Rather than asking users to build reports manually or navigate complex reporting tools, Despatchlab's AI Agent allows them to simply ask questions in plain, simple English.

IOC fellow, Kate Lester, Founder at Diamond Logistics commented: "For example a business owner could say: show me the stock levels and order volumes for our top ten products over the last twelve months, add trend lines, and recommend replenishment quantities for the next six months. “Within moments, the Agent can generate visual dashboards, bespoke reports and actionable insights, helping to turn raw operational data into information that businesses can use. Ultimately, it’s about removing the barriers between users and their data, making it easier for everyone to access the information they need, regardless of their technical ability.”

The intelligent dashboard builder is powered by Claude Opus, with Despatchlab’s conversational Agentic AI capabilities currently being developed and tested using OpenAI technologies.

This flexible approach enables Diamond to continue enhancing the platform as AI evolves, giving customers access to new tools and capabilities without disrupting the way they work. Kate Lester continued: "Technology should simplify logistics, not complicate it. We've continually invested heavily in Despatchlab year-on-year because we believe the right technology gives people the ability to make better decisions, deliver better service and grow their businesses. "These latest developments to the platform take us to a whole new level - moving beyond just traditional reporting. Instead of searching through data, our customers can simply ask a question and receive meaningful answers in seconds. It is a real-life concept that’s incredibly powerful, and it's only the beginning of what Agentic AI will deliver.
