Chris Floyd was in the Square Mile of the City of London for peak day of heatwave three of Summer '26. He attended the London Road Safety Council at a very bright and sunny Guildhall.
Key speaker was Prof James Haworth, who give some interesting detail about his study on near misses for pedal cyclists across the city.
By using standard GoPro footage the study has sought to identify higher risk areas, vehicle users etc – something that might be of benefit for planning and use for those of us who utilise cargo bikes in the city.
This was the first reconvening of the LRSC since local elections took place so there were many new Councillors, all keen to help their boroughs become safer. London continues to do positive work, making the city roads safer.
