Another carbon-neutral project complete!

This week, Same day courier company HBC based out of Biggleswade made a very special Luton box van delivery to the local school.

HBC donated exciting new equipment to Derwent Primary School for their upcoming Gardening Club and Forest School. Donated items include seeds, watering cans, bug hotels, trowels, bird boxes, litter pickers and a brand new greenhouse.

"We are delighted to have another carbon neutral project under our belt, further offsetting our carbon levels as a business through funding sustainability projects around the local area."

HOW DID HBC LOGISTICS BECOME A CARBON-NEUTRAL BUSINESS?

Ben Weldon comments,

Due to the nature of our services, it has been extremely difficult for us to have a complete sustainable operation. That’s why, in 2022 we partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain, a leading carbon-offsetting initiative that helps businesses achieve effective sustainable status. With this partnership, HBC Logistics has been able to contribute to funding worldwide sustainability projects that help less fortunate communities catch up with new equipment and the reviving of the world that will ultimately remove significant levels of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In addition to this, we are working hard to extend our status into Carbon Negative by investing in local community projects with schools, charities and other organisations.
