This week Evri proudly takes to the stage as headline sponsor of the annual Scope Awards, as the brand continues to champion inclusivity and doubles down on its commitment to accessibility and a more equitable future.

Taking place on Thursday, 15th May at the Kia Oval in London, the ceremony celebrates the achievements of individuals, organisations and game-changers that are driving progress towards disability equality. Hosted by the BAFTA nominated actor Adam Pearson, the awards are made up of 38 nominees shortlisted for the nine Scope Award categories.

Marking this exciting moment in the diversity, equity and inclusion calendar, Evri, the UK’s leading parcel delivery company, will play a key role in supporting the event. Alongside the evening’s host, Evri’s Chief HR Officer, Lyn Warren, will also take to the stage to highlight the brand’s partnership with Scope.

Lyn Warren, Chief HR Officer at Evri, said:

We believe that inclusivity is at the heart of a great workplace, and we have an ambition to become the most accessible parcel delivery company for our colleagues and couriers, as well as our customers and clients.

Being a sponsor of the fantastic Scope Awards is an important step in championing disability equality and ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported. I’m looking forward to being inspired by a room full of gamechangers and I’ll been listening closely to all the stories being shared.

I am committed to making Evri an amazing place to work for all, where accessibility and opportunity go hand in hand. Through our partnership with Scope, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering a workplace that empowers every individual to thrive.

This milestone builds on Evri’s October 2024 announcement of a three-year strategic partnership with Scope, with the brand announcing an ambition to become the most accessible parcel delivery company for its colleagues, couriers, customers and clients.

Joining the judging panel and in attendance on the night is Evri’s Head of Major Accounts, Andy Cotter, a senior disabled colleague for the parcel organisation, who brings valuable insight and expertise to the selection process.

Andy Cotter, Head of Major Accounts at Evri, said:

We are delighted to be the headline sponsor for the Scope Awards, championing the amazing progress being made towards disability equality.

I’m passionate about the work we’re doing to become the most accessible parcel delivery company, and with my recent first-hand experience of how an impairment can affect you mentally and in the workplace, I’m proud to be judging the awards.

On our busiest day last year, we delivered almost 4 million parcels, and we estimate around 1 million of these were delivered to disabled consumers. We recognise the opportunity to do better and over the next few years, and beyond, we are dedicated to making sure Evri better serves our communities and is an amazing place to work for all.

We aim to make a positive impact on the lives of disabled people and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Also, in attendance of the awards is Evri courier Gary. As an amputee, Gary has been a key member of the firm’s Evri Body Collective since its launch, and proud to share his story. The Evri Body Collective is an initiative that empowers individuals with lived experience of disability to share insights and drive progress in a listening session with Evri leaders.

Within the first few months of Evri’s partnership with Scope, the business exceeded its £125,000 target and reached a £150,000 milestone. Evri also launched accessibility preferences on the doorstep, including options such as needing more time to get to the door.

Evri is the UK’s biggest dedicated parcel delivery company, delivering more than 800 million parcels each year. The company has a mission to be the most convenient way to send, receive and return parcels, without costing the earth. Evri works with most of Europe’s top retailers, marketplaces and pre-loved sites. The roots of Evri can be traced back to Yorkshire in 1974 but the business has grown over the decades and now has a team of 8,000+ employees, 20,000+ couriers, 10,000+ out of home locations and a growing network of state-of-the-art hubs and depots.
