Lord Falkland announces Carolyn Dwyer as IOC Honorary fellow for 2019

One honorary fellowship is awarded by the IOC each year; Carolyn will receive her hood of hon fellow at the IOC fellows' gowning in the House of Lords on March 1st .

She joins hon fellows of recent years, including: Leon Daniels OBE, former head of surface transport TfL, John Holland-Kaye, CEO Heathrow, Mike Brown TfL commissioner, Sarah Bell Traffic commissioner, Sir Peter Hendy Network Rail chair, Prof Liz Barnes, Vice Chancellor Staffordshire Univ.

The City of London Corporation’s excellent work on green and safe transport initiatives was recognised last year at the Institute of Couriers' 22nd Annual Awards.

Air quality is a major challenge in London and the Corporation have worked with vehicle manufacturers to encourage the development and use of electric, and other low emission vehicles to service the commercial sector.

Carolyn Dwyer is the Director of the Built Environment at the City of London Corporation. Her role is to secure smart, connected, sustainable development and infrastructure to accommodate inclusive growth. She has over 30 years’ experience working in the Development Sector, including the planning and delivery of major projects. Carolyn has held ministerial appointments, is a Non-Executive Director of Shoreham Port Authority, Scottish Futures Trust and sits on the Boards of Resource London.
