London Metropolitan University with the Institute of Couriers have made a sector focus in logistics to work in partnership and deliver a new Hons degree in Logistics for the Sept 2014 students.

This is a whole new step of entry into our industry, an A level student moves to full time degree and three years later is ready to engage a career path in logistics in the most professional manner we have ever seen, transport compliance law, route geography, business and client services, logistics management, an employer lead package.IOC chair Carl Lomas

Content from much of the existing national occupational standards around, road freight compliance management, traffic law, hazardous goods, driver working time directives, route logic & geography, math and stats for fuel efficiency, customer services & business studies. A graduating candidate ready to finish management cpc and likely hold a relevant heavy licence ready to be responsible with O licence and shadow a depot manager.
