A busy forum, opened by TfL boss Mike Brown, well-attended with a big slant to politics, 50 days to the new mayor, blue-sky thinking. Carl Lomas IOC spoke of exploding e-retail home delivery numbers, ‘half of retail, home delivered  by 2020’ setting the question to Ian Wainwright, ‘is it sustainable and are we ready?’

Congestion zones, delivery costs, road space and blue sky visions discussed.

In summing up the event, Leon Daniels spoke with passion,

This forum born of the Olympics to solve freight issues and the next Olympics in Rio just around the corner. The forum has worked with all sectors from refuse collection trucks to construction and express delivery vans. Re-timing outside peak is something we must make good. We must try to make a difference. It's time to take a geographic focus on a town-sized slice of London and throw everything at that spot to trial re-timing.
