IOC organise Two-wheel courier escort in 2015 Lord Mayor's Show

800 hundred year tradition, two wheel escort, plate number 50 for Maritime truck entry with two wheel escort to Lord Mayors show for IOD East meets West float in glorious colour and captured by the BBC.

Institute of Couriers Chairman Carl Lomas was asked to find two wheel escort for the Lord mayor show entry of the IOD East Meets west float hauled by Maritime Transport, CitySprint put forward City of London Motorcycle Courier Graham with a twin top box Honda motorcycle.

 

The Lord Mayor’s Show is celebrating its 800th anniversary tomorrow on Saturday 14th November. The ancient carnival is loved the world over and regarded as a classic piece of British pageantry in the UK calendar. This year, maritime expert Alderman Jeffrey Mountevans has been elected as the 688th Lord Mayor of the City of London to serve as the global ambassador for UK-based financial and business services. The Lord Mayor’s Show will be his first public engagement.

The pageant-master gave a detailed briefing on the route to lead driver Peter, times and locations exchanged, everything is ship-shape for the 800th anniversary of the Lord Mayors show. Peter will be driving a smart new DAF tractor unit with a giant articulated trailer, Dominic explained the pageant is 3.1 miles in length with 7000 people in the parade, 2015 is particularly rich in bands, more than half  a million people are expected to line this years route.
