Kate Lester FIoC takes Entrepreneur crown at Real Business First Womens Awards 2015 and Zoe Powers FIoC takes top award of Everywoman in Transport

Two Fellows of the Institute of Couriers were proudly honoured this month in two prestigious awards, Real Business First Woman awards and Everywoman in Transport.

Kate Lester FIoC of Diamond Logistics was the winner of the Entrepreneur of the year. Katja Hall, CBI deputy director-general, said: “We’re proud to support the First Women Awards, which is a great way of celebrating the tremendous contribution made by female business leaders across the UK. While this shortlist is an excellent source of inspiration for ambitious women across all sectors of the UK, business still needs to improve recruitment, mentoring and succession planning to help female talent reach the top. Kate is an inspiration to us all and we are very proud that she is in our industry.

Zoe Powers FIoC of GLH was the winner of Innovation and Sustainability Award, nominated for her work with schools and innovation of implemeting sustainable processes with in GLH.
