Peter Millington, standards development team at BIS DFE IOA, reported this week that the standard for the Express Manager has been published on the government web site. This is a milestone step for the next-generation managers in Express, final mile.

The new levy funding will pay the bill for candidates, (circa £25k). No University fees and the candidate will be working, paid in a job in express while learning both on the job, on the net and in the classrooms of supporting Universities.

 

 

First candidates could be starting with West London University in the Heathrow hotspot as soon as Jan 2018. Management cpc, FORS practitioner, practical industry compliance qualifications are all bolted on the front of the degree that will see an employer-evolved qualification that directly fits the management role in express, final mile delivery firms.

CitySprint director Justin Moore chaired an employer group representing an A to Z list of express employers from APC to UK Mail. Giants like Royal Mail alongside regionals such as GLH in London.

This is a true employer vision for our next generation express managers, delivery and assessment plans have to be finalised hence the target for Jan 2018 starts.
