Craig Fashola - TNT

2012 winner 4 wheels craig fashola tnt s

Client nomination by Tracy McMahon a very Happy Customer

My father could not praise the delivery boys enough. Craig and his partner were so respectful - nothing was too much trouble

Craig recently made a delivery to an elderly customer who was anxious that he may have to help to manoeuvre the consignment into his house. Craig put the customer completely at ease - to the point where his daughter was moved to write to TNT Croydon to extend their warmest thanks to Craig:

I had ordered a special chair for my 86-year old father which could only be delivered at a time when I was at work. My father was suffering from a broken wrist, and as we knew it would be a two man job to manoeuvre the chair into the house, he was concerned that the two people promised would actually turn up. Just prior to the delivery I had a call from a very chirpy Craig, asking directions to my father's house, which is very tucked away. I mentioned my concerns to Craig, who put my mind completely at rest and promised that my father would not have to help in any way. When I returned from work, my father could not praise the delivery boys' enough. Craig and his partner were so respectful - nothing was too much trouble! It is rare these days to come across such warm, compassionate people who give that little extra. I was so delighted with how Craig had treated us that I found his mobile number from his earlier call and texted him a big Thank You. I truly believe Craig is an asset to your company and genuinely hope he is rewarded somehow.

Glynn Smith  CitySprint

2012 winner 4 wheels glynn smith citysprint s

Glynn has worked with us as a self-employed courier for over four years, during which he has taken a number of overseas jobs at the drop of the hat. It's great to have someone so reliable that we can call on at any time, day or night. We've often called him at 2am for MoD deliveries to Belfast, and he's never once let us down.

Nominated by, Andy Davies Telford service centre,

Glynn deserves to be recognised for his hard working attitude and dedication. He's one of the most reliable couriers I've ever worked with, and as such we have given him some of the more sensitive and complex jobs. He is fantastic to work with such a dependable courier. On top of this, Glynn is always very polite, courteous and smart. I couldn't think of a better ambassador for CitySprint. He is a real asset to our team.'

He's a very safe pair of hands for urgent medical jobs where a transportation/organ has required urgent movement for a patient. For these jobs on-time delivery is crucial, and we know we can rely on Glynn 100%. We also trust Glyn moving sensitive items for forensics on behalf of the Police.

Ray Smith - Rush Couriers

2012 winner 4 wheels ray smith rush s

Controllers Go to man who defeated the ash cloud. Ray joined Rush couriers in 2008, an already experienced van driver he settled in quickly and was soon the controllers go-to man. Always well presented (we let him off the beard) punctual and polite with customers. Not afraid of working long hours or putting in hard work it's his willingness to go the extra step to ensure the customers receive good service that has earned him this nomination.

Nominated by IOC fellow, Leon Gamble, London office Rush couriers ,

During the 2010 ash cloud, at short notice Ray managed to battle on to a ferry and spent the weekend delivering parts to the European stock exchanges using his van as his bed and breakfast. The willingness to drop his plans at the last second and get the goods delivered impressed everyone and the letter of congratulations from the MD of the company was very well received.

Ray has consistently given an extremely high level of customer service, been a credit to our industry and is well worthy of this nomination.
